During the dLOC digitization training, project partners cover the areas outlined in the dLOC manual, including the dLOC Toolkit. In addition to a project overview, the topics include recommended equipment and software, selection and copyright, metadata standards and creation and digitization theory. Hands on practice scanning local materials to apply the digitization theory and develop the metadata are a vital component of the training.
As of September 2009, dLOC has provided 20 onsite trainings.
